If you would like a private cremation, so that your pet's ashes may be returned to you, I will handle all the paperwork for you, and deliver it to the crematorium when I bring your pet to them.   I work with Deceased Pet Care in Bethlehem  (Harbins Rd) and Paws Whiskers and Wags in Covington and Decatur.  They will then contact you (during their normal business hours) to confirm you specific wishes, and to take payment for their service over the phone.

Their pricing information, as well as details of their services are available on their websites.

  • Transportation of your pet to a crematorium for a private cremation, under 100lbs: $75.00
  • Transportation of your pet to a crematorium for a private cremation, over 100lbs: $125.00

These fees also apply to transporting your pet to Deceased Pet Care for burial.

If you wish to have a communal cremation for your pet, I can help with transport and all arrangements and  payment for this service.  There would be nothing else required of you. In this case, your pet would be cremated with other pets, so no ashes would be available to be returned.

  • Transportation of your pet to a crematorium for a communal cremation, under 100lbs: $100.00
  • Transportation of your pet to a crematorium for a communal cremation, over 100lbs: $150.00

Of course, some families would prefer to bury their pet at home, or to handle cremation arrangements and transportation themselves.  This is an extremely personal choice, and I am always supportive of what feels best to each family.
